Lichtenberg-Kolleg, centrally located in the heart of West Berlin (off Kurfürstendamm near Savigny-Platz), offers a variety of language courses to meet your personal needs. Our school continues a tradition of pedagogical excellence dating back to 1907. Many years of experience in the field (we are also a preparatory school for college entrance) guarantees our students thorough training and academic success.

In a rapidly changing world, in which new economic challenges and opportunities have arisen, German, spoken as a native language, by more than 130 million people, has become one of the most important second languages today.

Lessons
Our language groups are small (5-12 participants). The books we use are always of the highest calibre, proven through experience to be effective in teaching grammar, vocabulary and comprehension. We also utilize audiovisual technology and promote an interactive learning environment.
In addition, the introduction to German culture is an integral part of our course work. Through sightseeing trips, social and cultural activities, such as film and theatre visits, you can experience the excitement of the bustling German capital.
We offer a graded test and/or a trial lesson, both of which are free of charge, to students who already have some knowledge of German. Thus each individual finds the class best suited to his or her level. Beginners' courses for students with no prior knowledge of the language commence at the beginning of each month.
